Content plans
What a content plan contains
The eight tabs a plan generates, what each is for, and the difference between the two video scripts that catches everyone out.
A content plan is the unit of work in TrendSuite. One idea or one topic goes in; a fortnight of material comes out, in eight tabs, generated together in a single run.
The eight tabs
| Tab | What it holds |
|---|---|
| Brief | The angle, the audience, and what the piece is trying to achieve |
| Hooks | A bank of opening lines, so the first sentence is a choice not a chore |
| Posts | Captions written per platform, in your brand voice |
| Poster idea | A single-image concept, ready to render in Studio |
| Carousels | A slide-by-slide deck, from hook to call to action |
| Video | Scripts. See the warning below |
| The same idea rewritten as a newsletter send | |
| Schedule | Suggested timing for each piece |
Start with the brief
The brief is not preamble. It states the angle the other seven tabs were written against, so if the captions feel wrong, the brief usually tells you why before you start regenerating things.
The two video scripts are different things
The Video tab carries an on-camera script and a faceless voiceover script, and they are not two versions of the same text.
The on-camera script is written to be read aloud by a person looking at a lens. It is what the teleprompter opens.
The voiceover script is written to be read by a renderer: it assumes no performance, and it is the one Studio uses when it builds a reel.
Using one where the other belongs is the single most common reason a reel sounds stilted.
Captions come in variants
The Posts tab holds several caption variants per platform, flat across every plan. You pick one; you do not have to accept the first.
What a plan is not
A plan is not a schedule until you fan it out. The Schedule tab is a suggestion produced during generation; nothing is queued until you commit it. See creating a plan for the step that turns material into posts.
