To turn a trend into a content plan, open the Trends feed, pick a trend with a strong relevance score and a lifecycle stage that fits your timing, open it, and choose Create content plan. TrendSuite generates a multi-platform plan with formats and captions adapted to each connected channel. From there you review and edit the adaptations, then send the pieces to your Calendar to schedule or into Studio to design. The whole flow takes a trend from "interesting" to "ready to publish" without leaving the app.

Start in Trends. Each trend card shows two things you should read together: the lifecycle stage and the relevance score for your brand.

The lifecycle stage tells you where a trend sits in its arc. Emerging trends are early and lower-volume but offer the best chance to be ahead of the pack. Rising trends are gaining momentum and usually the safest to act on now. Peaking trends are at maximum attention, which can be good for reach but means you are entering a crowded conversation.

The relevance score reflects how well a trend fits your specific brand, based on the niche, keywords, and trend preferences in your brand profile. A high score means the trend lines up with what your audience cares about.

Pick the right trend for your timing

Choose a trend by balancing relevance against lifecycle. A high-relevance Rising trend is often the sweet spot: clearly on-brand and still building. An Emerging trend can be worth a bet if you can produce quickly and want to lead. A Peaking trend can still work if you bring a genuinely fresh angle rather than repeating what everyone else is saying.

Check it against your brand

Before committing, make sure the trend genuinely fits your voice and that nothing about it conflicts with your never-say rules. The relevance score is a strong guide, but you are the final filter on whether a topic is right for your brand this week.

Open the trend detail view

Click into the trend to open its detail view. Here you get the fuller picture: why the trend is moving, the angle TrendSuite sees for your brand, and supporting context. Read this before generating anything, because it helps you judge whether the suggested angle matches the story you actually want to tell.

If the framing is close but not perfect, note what you would change. You will be able to steer the plan in the next step.

Generate the multi-platform content plan

Choose Create content plan from the trend. TrendSuite turns the trend into a structured plan built around your content pillars and connected accounts, producing tailored pieces rather than one generic post copied everywhere.

Confirm scope and brief

If prompted, confirm the scope of the plan, such as which platforms to include and any brief or angle you want to emphasize. This is where you apply the tweak you noted earlier. A one-line steer here, like "focus on the cost-saving angle for beginners," meaningfully changes the output.

Review the platform, format, and caption adaptations

This is the most important review step. A good plan is not the same post five times. TrendSuite adapts each piece to the platform it is meant for.

Check the format per platform

Confirm each platform got an appropriate format. A trend might become a carousel for Instagram, a short vertical video concept for TikTok, a text-led post for LinkedIn or X, and a longer-form idea for YouTube. Make sure the format plays to each channel's strengths rather than forcing one shape everywhere.

Read the captions for voice and fit

Read every caption as if you were the reader. Confirm the hook lands, the body delivers on it, and the call to action is appropriate for the platform. Watch for anything that breaks your never-say rules or drifts off-brand, and edit directly in the plan. Tighten length, adjust the opening line, and swap any phrasing that does not sound like you.

Trim what does not fit

You do not have to keep every generated piece. If a platform's version is weak or that channel is not right for this trend, remove it. A focused plan across two strong platforms beats a thin spread across five.

Hand off to Calendar

Once the plan looks right, push the pieces to your Calendar to schedule them. Space them sensibly across days and times rather than stacking everything at once, and respect each platform's natural rhythm. The Calendar gives you a single view of how this trend-driven content sits alongside everything else you have planned, so you can spot gaps and avoid clustering.

Hand off to Studio to design

For any piece that needs visuals, such as a carousel or a designed post, open it in Studio. Studio carries over your brand colors and fonts, so the design starts on-brand. Build out the slides or graphics, refine the copy alongside the visuals, then save or schedule directly.

Close the loop

After your content is live, check Analytics to see how the trend performed for your brand. Over time this teaches you which lifecycle stages and trend types convert best for you, which sharpens both your picks and your brand profile's trend preferences. Each cycle makes the next trend-to-plan workflow faster and more accurate, turning the Trends feed into a dependable, repeatable engine for your content.
